The Pulaski County / Somerset Day Treatment Center is located on Parkers Mill Road in Somerset, Kentucky. The center is a part of the Pulaski County School District, the Somerset School District, and the Department of Juvenile Justice. The Day Treatment Center is a contracted program that works through the aforementioned Agencies in working with schools, families, and the court system, providing youth a much needed alternative to their regular school program.

The Day Treatment Center is a specialized treatment and educational program for both male and female youths, ages twelve to seventeen, who present problems of pre-delinquent behavior, family dysfunction, and are having difficulty in school. Youth with no pending or past delinquent charges are also admitted, due to indications of delinquent and acting out behavior on the part of the youth. The primary referral sources for youth to be considered for the program are the Pulaski County Board of Education and schools, the Somerset Board of Education and schools, juvenile courts and the justice system, and the Department of Juvenile Justice. Priority is always given to students that are adjudicated and working through the court system.

The Pulaski County / Somerset Day Treatment Center provides an individualized academic program which allows youth to work on his/her own level of ability and thus experience success in the classroom. The Day Treatment Center program also offers a GED preparatory program. Additionally, students learn through an excellent technology program utilizing the Internet, Microsoft software, PACE program software, and Plato Courseware. Students are provided recreational opportunities, computer literacy skills, and adult living skills on a daily basis. Counseling both individually and in a group setting is a major focus of the Day Treatment Center's daily routine.
